<p>At some point of life, everybody has to face the loss of a loved  one. To cope with this situation is one of the hardest things. There are  loving memories and constant reminders of the lost one. The best thing  in this situation can be done is to permit yourself to grieve and then  gradually try to get adjusted with the situation. Kind words of a family  member or a good friend can help you in doing that.</p>
<p>Sharing your  feelings with someone is the best way to cope with depression. Loss of a  loved one generates a lot of negative emotions. Talking to someone will  help you to get rid of some of the negative feelings.</p>
<p>Another way  to cope with the loss of a loved one is writing. You can express your  feelings in the form of a poem, story or song. Writing down your  feelings on a paper is a good idea. Letter writing, diary writing and  journal writing are good things to do. It&#8217;s better to bring your  feelings out rather than burying them inside your heart.</p>
<p>To cope  with the loss, you have to make yourself strong both emotionally and  physically. For this you have to take good care of yourself. Taking  enough rest is must to relax your mind and body. Taking naps in the day  will help you a lot. Don&#8217;t make yourself dependent on nicotine, caffeine  and alcohol. Addiction to these things can be very harmful for you.  Physical exercise can also help you in getting rid of depression and  anxiety.</p>
